State education spending has not kept up with inflation.  Access to good quality education is the foundation for a strong community.  We must invest in our public schools.  We must support teachers who are educating our future leaders.

Workforce Development

Continuing education and training for adults is important for good jobs and better wages.  We must ensure that Indiana is competitive by supporting career training programs that create a strong pipeline of talent in Indiana.

Indiana recently ranked 48th in Quality of Life according to U.S. News & World Report, taking into account our drinking water and air pollution.  Clean air and safe water are basic necessities.  We must commit to ensuring that Hoosier children grow up in a safe and healthy environment.

Redistricting Reform

Politicians currently draw their legislative districts to determine who they represent. We must establish an independent redistricting commission.  Voters should choose their elected officials – not the other way around.

We must always work toward moving Indiana forward as an inclusive state that welcomes all.  The path to getting there is by having a more representative government – people from all backgrounds – including economic, ethnic, and occupational diversity.
